Psychotherapy and counselling are talking therapies, which help you work through emotional challenges. How long you attend sessions will determine the depth of awareness you want to develop around yourself, and the areas you are exploring.
There are no limits to what can be explored in therapy. It is a process that helps you to examine and question, past and present life experiences, including your belief systems, and enables you to redefine how you want to live life in a way that feels truer to who you are.
At innershifts we view all of life’s challenges within a context of our life as human beings. We do not work within a medical, diagnostic or interpretive model, or see our role as one of ‘fixing’, but rather of helping people take responsibility for their lives and to increase their self-awareness.
“My counsellor was brilliant. Having the chance to speak to someone so calm and attentive was wonderful. You let me be myself, and helped and encouraged me to bring to the surface feelings and thoughts that I had kept buried and hidden from others for some time.”
“I know you see many clients, but I’m thankful I was one of them. I was able to let out the real me and you never judged me. If I could inspire someone even half of what you’ve inspired me, I would have truly achieved my goal.”
“Thank you for all your help, support and ‘being’ there for me. From a very grateful client.”
“Thank you so much. You were very understanding, and you couldn’t do any more. You were fantastic. I will be able to get on with my life now. The sessions hit the right spot. Keep doing what you are doing.”
“The sessions have helped me to be more self-accepting, and I feel I have got my self-confidence and self-esteem back. I feel like I’m a different person to who I was a prior to the sessions.”
“Thank you so much for the supporting me. Though it is sad that our time together is ending, I will be comforted by the fact that you have more time to spread your warmth with others. You’re so great at your work and I will be forever glad that I met you.”
